Privacy policy
Short version: the only personal information we collect is an email address you enter yourself. We may share it with mortgage providers so they can contact you about the market you viewed. We do not collect or sell any other personal information about you.
What we collect

We do not ask for and do not collect your name, phone number, address, income, credit history, Social Security number, or any other financial detail. We have no account system and no passwords.
When we share your information
We may share the email address and market you unlocked with mortgage providers. They may pay us for the opportunity to contact you. Under California law this counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, so we say it plainly rather than burying it.
We share only your email address, the county and loan type you unlocked, and the date. Nothing else is included.
A provider who receives it may contact you about that kind of loan and is responsible for its use of your data under its own privacy policy.
We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and processes usage data for us, and Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and stores no IP address. We do not sell analytics data.
Your choices
- Do not give us your email.Everything on the public pages, market statistics, top lenders, analysis and methodology, is readable without entering anything.
- Opt out of sharing or delete your data. Email hello@fatboydata.com with the address you used. We will stop sharing it and delete it. This is the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Informationright under California law. We honour the same request from anyone, anywhere.
- Unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
- Ask what we hold.Email us and we will tell you what we hold and send you a copy.
- Analytics. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected as an opt-out of sharing.
How long we keep it
We keep an email address until you ask us to delete it, or for 24 months after your last visit, whichever comes first. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be kept indefinitely.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us an email address, tell us and we will delete it.
Security, and what we cannot promise
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and held with reputable hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure. Because we collect very little personal information, what we hold is limited to an email address and the market you viewed.
Changes and contact
